Time to Pamper Yourself
What a wonderful time of year to think, “hmmm, what can I do to take care of myself today?”
I must be kidding, right?
We all do such a good job of making our loved ones feel special when planning all those memories for the “Best Christmas Ever”, it really easy to forget ourselves in all the hustle and bustle. ( Is this you?)

That being said, are you starting to feel exhausted, stressed, or just overwhelmed?
Maybe, spending beyond your budget, or eating too much?
Wouldn’t you like to enjoy the holidays in good health? I’ll bet you never thought you actually had a choice?
Well, truthfully, we all do by listening to our bodies and minds and taking care of our selves first.
If you are well-rested and take care of yourself first, you will have so much more energy and fun taking care of others and still complete all of the things on your “to-do” list.
So , I’m curious, how do you really want to spend your time in December?
My hope is to help you stay organized and take care of yourself so you can have a happy, peaceful holiday season.
Big Surprise, I Have Some Advice
Piece of Advice #1
My first piece of advice is to decide to put all of your holiday tasks into categories of :
* Must Do, Non-Negotiable
* Would like to do if I have time
* Don’t really want to do, and would like not to.
Let’s face it you can’t do it all.
Can you just eliminate a task or two from your “to do” list and be fine with that decision? Do It.
Piece of Advice #2
My second piece of advice for you is to only say yes to things you want to do, we all need to remember it is okay to say no.
Truthfully, I have always believed, if you don’t plan your time someone else will. Practice saying, “Thank you, but I have already made plans”.
It’s hard I know, but trust me, you will be so happy taking control of your own time.
Piece of Advice #3

December Can Be All About You
Now, It Is All About You
Yes, you are busy, but I would like you to take a little bit of time out of your busy schedule during December and spend time each day with the most important person in your life- You.
You have worked hard and now deserve some “me time.”
You will still have plenty of time left over to create a wonderful, memorable Christmas for your family.
Self-care or planned personal time is different for everyone, so I can’t tell you to all sit by the tree and listen to Christmas music if that isn’t your thing.
You need to think about what would it take for you to feel a bit pampered.
I’m going to help you with some suggestions so that planning for self-care doesn’t become another thing to plan that causes more stress!!
I have put together a calendar of Holiday Self-Care ideas for December to get you started pampering yourself a bit.
- Challenge yourself to plan something that will help you relax, live in the moment, and focus on what is really important. When you think about what you can do for yourself, write it down.
- You may need to be flexible with your list of indulgences. Make a list of the things you would like to try, and then when you find yourself with some extra time, pull out the list and choose something to do for you.
- Making this commitment will require a plan for each day. Just saying you are going to take time for yourself just won’t happen, keep that list handy and add to it when something new comes to mind.
- Doing something for yourself doesn’t have to be time consuming or complicated, it can be as small as eating chocolate!
- Think of it as a gift just for you from you.
Wouldn’t it be great to find you enjoy doing things for yourself so much, that you continue the practice going into the new year?
